Knowledge is Power & Peace of Mind
Our mission at Preview Breast Screening is to provide women and their doctors with easy and timely access to 3D Automated Breast Ultrasound (ABUS), a safe and comfortable breast cancer screening technology primarily designed to meet the needs of higher risk women with denser breast tissue who require supplementary imaging information for better accuracy and peace of mind. ABUS offers almost twice the sensitivity for identifying tumours when compared with mammography alone. ABUS screening provides valuable details of breast tissue structures and associated breast cancer risk (BI-RADS categorization) with interpretations that can be used with confidence along with other imaging data and clinical findings to better evaluate and successfully address subtle changes over time, long before breast cancer presents.
Delivering Excellence in Customer Service
We strive to offer the highest standard of customer service by our professionally trained and licensed staff in a comfortable and relaxing out-patient environment.
Dr. John Bennett, MDCM, FRCPC
ABUS Reading Radiologist
A graduate of McGill University medical school in 1983, and having worked in general practice and as an emergency physician, Dr. John Bennett followed his medical beginnings with a four-year residency in radiology at the University of Western Ontario and a one year fellowship in interventional radiology at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. He then spent 15 years at St. Joseph’s Hospital in London, Ontario with a practice including interventional and general radiology as well as ultrasound, mammography and computed tomography. For the past 16 years, he has worked in a busy general radiology practice, including fluoroscopy, ultrasound, BMD, mammography and imaging-guided treatments. In addition to his practice, Dr. Bennett works for Realtime Radiology providing a wide range of tele-radiology services, including mammography, cross-section imaging and 3D automated breast ultrasound (ABUSTM). Dr. Bennett has over 6 years of ABUS reading experience as he was the first radiologist in Canada to be trained in the reading and reporting of ABUS studies. His extensive training in many approaches to breast cancer screening includes the multimodality approach to the detection and diagnosis of occult breast cancer by Dr. Laszlo Tabar. PreView Breast Screening is pleased to have Dr. Bennett on the team as he brings exceptional senior radiology experience and extensive knowledge in breast imaging interpretation and reporting.
Emily Coposescu, ARDMS
ABUS Sonographer
Emily is a licensed Sonographer with ARDMS certification and post graduate breast ultrasound training from the Burwin Institute of Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound. Her most recent training as an automated breast ultrasound technician is supported by her years of extensive 3D ultrasound obstetrical experience in an out-patient environment. Earlier in her career, she received a Bachelor of Science diploma in her homeland of Romania followed by a post-graduate diploma in ultrasound technology from the Toronto Medical Education Centre. Drawing on her skills and qualifications, Emily accurately captures hundreds of images in only minutes from three automated scans of the entire breast, resulting in volumetric detail of complex breast tissues and structures, which provides for the best available image acquisition for interpretation of findings by the reading Radiologist.
